You're permitted to use a calculatorfor the duration of the Math Exam, but you must do much more other than making sure that you've got a new supply of batteries.Important:

Calculators aren't provided at the test center, and you're not able to use a calculator.
Quick Facts
- Only the calculators on this webpage are acceptable to be used for the Math Test, Calculator portion of the test.
- You are not allowed to use the calculator when you are working on the Reading, Writing and Language or Math Test - No Calculator sections. You are required to remove the calculator away during these sections on the examination.
- You'll be kicked out and your scores canceled should you utilize your calculator to communicate information during the test, or to remove questions or answer sheets from the test room.
Calculator Smarts
- Bring your own calculator. You can't share one.
- Don't bring a brand new calculator. Bring one you're comfortable with. Practice for the test using the same calculator you'll need on the day of your test.
- It's important to note that the Math Test includes some questions where you shouldn't utilize the calculator although it's permitted.
- It may help to do scratch work in the test book. Write down your thoughts before taking your calculator.
- Check that your calculator is in operating condition and that the batteries are not expired. The test center will not have extra calculators or batteries. If your calculator fails during testing and you're not able to find a replacement, you'll have to complete the test without it.

Acceptable Calculators
If you have any calculator with characters that are at least one inch tall, or if your calculator has a display with a raised top that could be visible to other test-takers, you will be seated at the discretion from the testing coordinator.
Only handheld equipment powered by batteries can be used to test. No power cords are allowed.
Calculators allowed during testing include:

Unacceptable Calculators
It is not permitted to make use of the following items as a calculator:
- Laptops and other computer systems, mobile phones, tablets smartwatches, wearable technology or smartwatches
- Models that are able to connect to the Internet include wireless, Bluetooth cell, audio/video recording and playback, camera, or other smartphone-like features.
- Models that include a computer-style (QWERTY) keypad pen input or stylus
- Models that make use of electric outlets, produce noise or use a paper tape
- In addition, the use of hardware peripherals , such as styluss with an approved calculator is not permitted. Certain models with touchscreen capability are not allowed (e.g., Casio ClassPad).
